Welcome to My Loving Nanny! We are so happy you are interested in joining our team as a Backup Care Nanny.
We partner with a Corporate Benefit Program that provides in-home childcare. This program is offered by an employer to their employees who have a work and childcare conflict. Parents are able to use this program to help with their childcare needs, so they don’t need to take time away from their jobs.
The level and commitment to professionalism from our team of nannies is the success of this program.
As a My Loving Nanny (MLN) backup care nanny, we will always stress the importance of being professional, dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.
Families are welcoming you into their home, and they are entrusting you with their child, whom you may only be with once, ever.
Within the program, there is a great opportunity to cultivate and build a relationship with families and child(ren) to leave a lasting impression and impact.
Key takeaways for this service and position:
1. It is required to ALWAYS have a current infant, child, and adult CPR/First Aid Certification
(This can ONLY be in-person and has to include an infant/child. This is at your cost, renewed every 2 years, and a copy must be on file with MLN)
2. We DO NOT drive the children during care
(whether in your car or the family’s. Public transportation, or transportation services ARE ok)
3. Children CAN NOT go into any body of water
(Verbal permission to bathe a child is required from the parent)
4. You are NOT permitted to administer medicine
(You can only watch the child take their medicine)
5. NO additional children can be IN the home during care
(Only children booked and confirmed for care can be in the home during care)
6. Within the program, you’re ONLY required to meet the needs of the child(ren) during care (no additional chores, tasks, responsibilities are yours while providing care – YOU ARE THERE FOR THE CHILD’S CARE ONLY)
7. You are REQUIRED to have a MIN of 1 weekday/week availability to keep the position. Jobs are automatically booked and confirmed within our company app (Jobs come in real time and are booked instantly, based on your availability and travel radius)
8. Each job REQUIRES a mandatory Intro Call for each booked and confirmed care request
(You are responsible for calling the family to confirm care before it starts)
9. Within the program, we have a 4-hour minimum per booking
(If you work less than 4 hours, you will be paid 4 hours for that day of care)
10. Within the program, families are able to cancel care.
If families cancel requests prior to the cut-off, there is NO late fee paid to the nanny.
11. You are an employee of My Loving Nanny (Your hourly rate is confirmed during the hiring process. We have 2 paydays a month (15th and last day of the month). As a reference, raises are generally NOT provided)
13. During a request, there are NO formal breaks/mealtimes (Nannies are required to bring their own food with them for care. Families are not required to feed you during care)
14. ANYTIME you work with children – You are a mandatory reporter (Whenever working directly with children, this is a state mandate. If you see, experience, and/or assume any type of abuse, you are REQUIRED to report to the state (this can be done anonymously). You must also notify the agency.
